This was part two of a double header labor day weekend at Sleepy Hollow MX for the second last MDRA race of the year. This very weekend is my B-Day in motorcross, and yes right here at this very event. way back in 1987. And it go's with out saying I had left with my tail tween my legs. With cats like Yentzer, Bear, Lawson, Shclag, all more just stomping me into a mid pack ride at best . But that was then, and this is now. And yes, this season is winding down fast! Though this weekend was exceptionally long for me with the Trip to Miles, the Sleepy and then Pagoda's club house on Tuesday for the meeting. And to top that off, I think I have the N1H1 virus. jk I am sick with some bug, but I don't think it's the swine flu. Never the less I am getting the weekend work together for updates on these really great holiday events. Sleepy Hollow's staff did a wonderful job off the track and on the track as usual. The new track layout took a while to really come in. As I said it would. All the tracks that tried to mix it up and change things around this year, deserve a big thumbs up. Tomahawk, Doublin Gap, Sleepy Hollow all made changes that were really welcome. And now that they have a few races under their belt with the changes, the tracks are really coming in nicely now.

It does seem to be there was some confusion though for the MDRA race at Sleepy about contingency. According to the 2009 MDRA flyer the Sleepy race was a Suzuki paying race. And the rumor was at Miles it was not a contingency race and some guys simply went home once they thought that was the case. So I am not sure how the confusion got started, but I will make sure we cover that better here at GMXR.net ( actually EastMX.com in just over 30 days time now ) so everyone knows whats paying and when. Now I know Budds Creek was thrown in at the last minute as a paying race, but that kinda of thing may not always get picked up right away. Budd's is listed as NO manufactures contingency on the flyer. So that said, I'll make sure to keep abreast of it, but can not say I'll be 100% accurate all the time either with last minute changes. Lets see what the action was like this past labor day at the Sleepy Hollow MX.

While the #427 of Lowell Spangler once again came threw with the top overall honers. It did not come easy at all for Lowell this labor day. Garrett Toth #231 shown here with Matt Wozney, laid down the first 250 A moto win on his RM250 over Spangler, Schmelyun, Sidle and Kramer. In moto two Broc was all over Lowell in the 250 class with Toth taking 3rd. And in the 450 class. While Lowell won both motos. He again had some serious pressure. Caliifonia's Jesse Casillias Jr. #605 gave Lowell all he could handle. Schmelyun, Zimmerman and Toth wound out the top 5 in the 450A class. While Spangler is the top dog now, he is beatable. But it wont be easy. Lowell is fast, does the work he needs too and sits in the #1 spot a lot be cause he deserves it. Beat Lowell and it's surely a confidence builder. And yeah, GT is on a GMXR.net ride here this day. I don't think the bike will ever go that fast again, unless GT needs it again?!

Wile Caleb Keck again was the class act in the 50cc 7-8. A real great battle was going on in the top five with the #663 of Jordan Jarvis and the #12 of Michael Blankenship. Here the kids air it out over the infamous "Bonzi" leap neck and neck. Blankenship would just edge out the #663 machine for the top 5 spot but great rides by both the #663 and the #12.

Here is the start to the 250 B class with Yamaha's AMS rider Kameron Page #14 is looking inside, Happy Ramblers Josh Fisher on the #04 machine is on the outside with what looks like Pagoda's James Munch #65 in the middle. Page would dominate this class with 1-1-1's across the board. Fisher ends up in the second spot and then Daryn Thompson rounds out the box spots for the day. Good ride by all three kids!

The 811X of Owne Neild from Hagerstown MD. grabs the early lead and never looked back all day. He was another 1-1-1 sweeper in his class. He had the like of Joshua Fey, Buddy Thiess, Cory Gilliam and Dylan Galicki all trailing him for top five rides in a pretty full class.  The labor day race at Sleepy has always been a drawl, it was no different this day.

New Windsor MD. own Mason Richards #102 made his way to the labor day race at Sleepy Hollow MX Park. And Mason put in a solid 15-11-12 in a stacked field of Junior mini riders. That's consistent, solid riding it and put Mason in top half of the field for the day. The winners were Clites, Runkles, and Weindel top three.

Many of you know that real soon GMXR.net will no longer be up and running. I have partnered up with EastMX.com for 2010. And now that has even branched into " Impulse GraphX" as well. I will have full price sheets and all the info. ASAP posted. The deal kinda came a bit late for the 09' season to get it involved 100%.  But Jace Wade's ( owner EastMX.com/Impulse GraphX ) work is second to none or I would not have teamed up with him. Fact's are, we can cover more and do a better job working together. So that's what we will be doing in 2010, and I think JC Benson will be helping as well. All to have better coverage and better products for you. Jace and I have some great things lined up for 2010, but let's finish 2009 before I go much further. When things calm down a bit on my end, I will post all the new information before GMXR.net shuts down for good on October 31st 2009. I can only say thanks to so many of you for being fans, readers, customers and friends in the short year I have done this. It is not as easy as it seems, in fact this past weekend damn near killed me with Pagoda on Tuesday as well. But it had to be done! Thanks again to all of you.

The red flag had to fly in the 35+ A class with huge pile up in turn one that left several guys beat and battered. The #858 of John Bolin is a solid Vet rider anyplace he go's to compete. And him doing the ying  instead of the yang here, is a sure sign things are going wrong fast here in this shot. A few guys bump on the inside and the guys on the outside head the wrong way fast. Everyone got up here, but not to swiftly. And though these guys are 35 or older, they still have the heart and passion as they did as kids. This class went Bear, Seip and Weindel for the overalls.

Here is EVO/Lebanon Valley Cycles own Patrick Sharky #90. Who went 3-4-4 in the 250 C and a 1-1-1 in the Open C aboard his RM250.  Pat has had real tough year, one I can kinda relate too. And threw it all he's stood tall and strong. And with rides like this day's, he seems to be back in top form. Pat's a Sleepy Hollow native and rides the track very well. I'll be in touch soon Pat, nice job!

This the #552 of Brian Eichelberger who went 2-1-1 in the 40+B and a 2-2-2 ride in the 35+ B class. Brian's out of shape here in this shot, but he was on the gas on that old 2 smoke RM250. Brian bested long time friend Paul Shafer #60 and #953 of Mike Reynolds in this class this day. The 35+B class Ike was in the middle of Bobby Edris #426 who took the top spot and James Dobbs #21 rounded out the top three.

This is about all you need to see here and know it's a tight, fast, talented A class. The AMS/VPE ride of Schmeylun #111 and #605 KXF ( yep it's listed as a Kawy guys ) Jessie Casillas Jr. from all the way out in California.  Both rode great all day and were in shape for a top three spot on the day. Broc's best ride was the second 250 A moto were he pressured #427 to the line. And Casillas had the lead in moto 2 of the 450 A class until he let Spangler's #427 pressure him and get by. Solid rides, by talented kids. And a real treat to watch as well.

Well folks that's gonna wrap this update for two reason. One, my computer has been crashing all week. Three times I spent several hours on this to only lose it all last minute. Yeah, I have been frustrated to say the least here this week with things. I am making some changes to my ISP but that's not my problem here I do not think. I will get in resolved ASAP. And all and any GMXR.net customers form Miles and Sleepy. Your products are on there way. All were done and shipped out by 4:00pm today. Thank you all. I'd like to thank the Swarr's who did an great job on race day and some of the best people we have in all of motorcross. A wonderful family with lots to give back to the sport. I want to thank the MDRA and the Yenzter's for running such a good series. The one thing with the MDRA, you get the same thing week after week. No surprises, or inconsistencies in the series, tracks or programs.

The second reason this update is over is I have other work to still do. Things did not get off like I had hoped this work week. But it is coming around now. I will be updating both Miles Mtn.'s Ultimate race again and the MDRA race at Sleepy Hollow again this week. With an MRIA page update too. We have some pretty banged up guys that need a shout out. And if you guys did not notice JC Benson was back in action this week after some serious health concerns lately. Hope it all continues to go well for the moto3tv.com editor and chief. I sent out a message to photographer Jim Mucklin, who's dropped off the map, and had me worried. He emailed me back and he would like to say hello to all, he will not be at the last Sleepy race like he had hoped. He has some more pressing issues most of us know of, but wishes he could be with us. I hope things get better for the skilled camera man. I miss Jim not being here. He's as much a part of out MX community as any. Best wishes Jim.........
