Guys I first have to say I am sorry for this delay. Between myself and my mom's condition, I just have been overwhelmed 100%. Imagine using one hand to hit shift and I to start this sentence, and all others. Let alone the personal problems now. So it is very tuff to say the least. But with delay,  this week here is my first update of coverage from Raceway Park"s Ultimte Series RD#8.. And with several weeks off in the series I will update again next week. It is simply all i can do right at this time.

Motorcross is so much a family oriented sport and that was proven once again by all the great people who helped me out from Raceway Park. This week we again saw the great Pagoda crew, Doublin Gap's Jeff, Colton and Bobby Yentzer and even the Hurricane Hills own Fritz family was on hand and took part in the action. Very nice to see other Ultimate Series track owners and or Reps. at the races. Only makes me think they do care about the series, families, sponsors, racers and more that do the entier series. We all know the kind of money these weekends cost. And with some tracks a bit higher than others, I do think the series needs to come up with a "set fee" for practice and racing. A big change in costs effect sponsors, vendors and the racer most of all. I am glad I practiced and raced ( we'll maybe not entered to race ) last week but  Iknow many, who simply could not. But yet was able to all year long for the most part with fees a constant.  Something that needs addressed for 2010. But moving on.

We had some killer names like Duffy, Blessing, Conner, Clites, Carsten, Pamart, Dixon, Tressler, Kusmider, Carroll and so many more to mention all. It was a very stacked Ultimate race for almost every class in the series. The track is so cool, as it always was. Jumps that make you feel your floating, jumps you can just whip it on. And sand that is so great to make a berm, pick any line and just twist the gas?! But this Raceway Park track will get rough, tough and hard on the body and bike just shortly after the first gates drop. You better be in shape to go 5 laps here over the norm in D-6. The E-Town staff did a great job grooming the track and keeping watered and fixed when needed too. To make safety a goal in an already dangerous sport is a great move by any track owners. Lets show some action here. And again I feel bad I am behind the norm. But you all know the deal with injuries and I thank so many of your for your kind words, help and emails. Thanks a lot from me!

Jacob Hartranft #66 rides the wheels off his YZ125. The MSR rider sits in the top 3 in points in the schoolboy 12-16 class. With solid rides all year long, Jacob is not out of the top spot just yet. Here Jacob shows some sand skills in moto one. Great job all year #66!

Avery Brown #331 is one of the best C riders in the country right now. Problem is the MXG unlimited rider had the worst week of his young career last week, at his regional to boot!!. He did not even stay for day two it was so bad. Avery was riding right on pace here when I snapped this shot, 2nd in moto one.  Pressure is also an element of this sport you will have to learn to overcome somehow, at somepoint. Avery is a great kid, and I think he will find his way. It is a problem for many to do there usual, in the big races. Avery's not the first by no means.

Ryan Clites #14 has been a favorite of mine to watch this year. Not only is Ryan's results threw the roof this year. But Ryan's committed to the  Ultimte Series. With Suzuki money real close to home, he could have just eaten up some close cash, but he choose to drive to NJ.'s finest. Here he leans his RM85 to an all most kiss of death form over the elavator. Ryan's racing the fast guys, and it will only pay off in the end.

While pretty, the rain clouds suck this time of year for the most part. It comes and go's so fast, the winds the real issue pushing these fronts around. E-Z up go's down, no, up, no, now back down?. But it was not to bad here this weekend and the track just soaked up the rain just great. The Raceway track is truly a pleasure and honer to ride on. Thanks to the staff for sure!

Here is Maryland's own O'neal backed rider Gregg Duffy #151. I do not get the pleasure to see Gregg much but man was he fast. He was in 3rd, then moved into the lead, then back to 3rd again to finish after a fall. He had some fast cats and local hero Dakota Kessler to deal with. But looked to have that speed to me from what I saw. Just did not execute 100%, but Nice rides Gregg!

Here is  EastMX.com's Jace Wade talking to the injured Adison Kramer. Who was not so rubberish at the Hurricane Hills event were he fractured his foot. This tough kid rode at Raceway Park, and though off the pace. He may find out that the effort gained him a spot, or kept him from losing one in the series end come September.

Colton Yentzer #63 wanted to come to the Raceway track and try his 919 designs/ doublin Gap MX Cobra in the NJ sand. And Colton has been really stepping up his form, speed and results too. He looked really comfy in the sand and had lots of fun as well. Look for the other Yentzer, Colton to be making a move to the front more and more. Great riding #63!

Bryton Carroll #48 takes the sick shot of the week award here. Just getting all he can get out of his Cobra to make this double. And the top 3 or 4 kids were all doing this jump. But the #48 just uses great skill and shows 100% commitment here. Very cool Bryton!

This is almost a full week in the writing guys. But my injury is just killing me to do much of anything, especially typing one handed. OMG! It;s been very tough this week and as I stated earlier. My mom has fallen ill and I am taking some time off to spend with her. I was not wanting to be off hurt, but be that as it may, I am. So it is just best to deal with it and move on I guess. JC Benson is up and running after having his own health issues. He will be at the local and MDRA races getting great coverage. There are new video's up on www.moto3tv.com now, Ultimate, MDRA and PAMX clips. Jace Wade will be out in full force with  EastMX.com.  So though I am down and out, others will step in to cover the action.

This picture above is the start straight, that I made it almost to the end of in moto 1 before just going ass over tin-cups. I really had no clue what the deal was at the time. I thought I had a great start, if not the start, and It was all over in a second. But the track is so much fun that I am thankful I spent the cash to ride it Saturday. Though salty for me at $40.00, I am glad for a once off time I did it.  And as I thought, just looking over the locals, they are so fast on their home turf. Wow, I had nothing for many I usually hang on too at least. But that's the deal at many tracks, we all have our favorites. I am no different. Since we have a break in the series a few weeks, I will be updating the E-town race yet again this week. And then some of the high lights of the season so far. As I get to move my arm a bit more and my mom's stable. I'll update more and more. Thanks for your time and patients.

GMXR.net wants to wish the Black'and Sharkey families our love, thoughts and prayers as two devastating losses to our local MX family has happened recently. May you find light when it is darkest, may you find love and support in your friends, family and faith. When the hill seems longest, may the wind help push you to the top. Death is part of life, yet we are never prepared for it. As I fight a loss myslelf currently, my head is lowered in prayer for all.
